Dynamics 365 Partner Density by State: Where the Experts Actually Are
If you’ve ever searched for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation partner, you already know the frustration. Microsoft’s own AppSource directory dumps thousands of results on you with almost no way to filter by what matters. We built Top Dynamics Partners to fix that — and one of the first things we noticed in the data was how unevenly verified Value Added Resellers are distributed.
Note: All figures below reflect confirmed Dynamics 365 VARs only — not consultancies, ISVs, or firms with uncertain partner status.
The Numbers #
We track 279 verified Dynamics 365 VARs across the United States. Here’s where they cluster:
| State | VARs | Notable Firms |
|---|---|---|
| California | 40 | Trusted Team Technologies (Irvine, ★4.7), Armanino (San Ramon) |
| Florida | 29 | Flexsin Inc. (Orlando, ★4.0), Enavate (Tampa, ★4.2) |
| Illinois | 17 | TTD Enterprise (Schaumburg, ★4.1) |
| New Jersey | 15 | eMazzanti (Hoboken, ★4.4) |
| Texas | 15 | Rackspace Technology (San Antonio, ★4.3), Vertex Systems |
| Georgia | 14 | Growing hub for mid-market partners |
| New York | 11 | Mix of boutique and enterprise-scale firms |
| Washington | 9 | Avanade (Seattle, ★3.7), Akvelon (Bellevue, ★4.2) |
| Colorado | 8 | Remote-first partners with national reach |
| Pennsylvania | 8 | Strong manufacturing-focused partner base |
California alone accounts for 14% of all US-based Dynamics 365 VARs. After the top three states, the numbers drop sharply — most states have fewer than 10 verified VARs each.
Why This Matters for Your Selection #
Geography still matters in enterprise software. Remote implementations have become more common since 2020, but for complex go-lives — warehouse scanning, shop-floor terminals, multi-site rollouts — a partner who can put boots on the ground makes a real difference.
If you’re in a partner-dense state, use that leverage. Compare three to five firms using a structured partner selection framework before talking to any of them. Competition keeps proposals honest.
If you’re in a partner-sparse state, don’t default to the closest firm. Some of the best VARs in our directory work nationally. What matters more than zip code is whether the partner has done your type of project before. Our industry-specific partner guide breaks down what to look for.
Beyond the US #
The Dynamics 365 VAR ecosystem is global. Here’s where verified resellers concentrate internationally:

Tools We Wish Existed When We Started This Research #
We ended up building them:
- TCO Calculator — Model actual implementation costs including the line items most quotes leave out (data migration, training, post-go-live support)
- ERP Requirements Builder — Walk into vendor conversations with a structured requirements doc instead of a vague wishlist
- Learn: Business Central vs. Finance & Operations — Understand which product line fits before you start talking to partners who’ll inevitably recommend whichever one they sell
The partner landscape is consolidating fast. The boutique VAR you like today might be absorbed into a PE roll-up tomorrow. Independent data matters more than ever.
